The Jackal is an elusive assassin who makes a living carrying out high-paying assassinations. Why was she cast in this role when there are so many actresses who should have been better in the role? It boggles my mind. Her character is not interesting, just another obsessive agent role. Eddie Redmayne can do anything, his acting range is impressive, from stage dramas, musicals, and movies. He never disappoints. In this role, he is solid in everything he does. The plot is interesting and captivating… funny how we root for the Jackal… not for MI Agent 6. The location of the series is impressive and the plot is highly emotional. There is no comparison to the original, it is a worthy adaptation for today’s times.
