Plot
An agnostic sex podcaster and a newly single rabbi fall in love; find out if their relationship can survive their wildly different lives and meddling families. Originally titled “Shiksa” which is also the last word spoken in the first episode. I really loved this! Rom-coms always follow the same formula but this one has so many strong points – + I FELT the chemistry between the leads. It felt natural and harmonious. They played the characters so well! + The dialogue and relationships between the characters felt funny, witty, and at best, heartwarming. + In a world that promotes representation, this is the first time I’ve seen a Jewish man’s love. I think it showed beautiful and well-rounded aspects of the religion without putting it on a pedestal in any way. Great writing, great acting, and amazing chemistry made this a crazy watch for me, followed by a quick search for “Is there a season 2?” I loved this!
