Plot
Two Harkonnen sisters fight against forces that threaten the future of humanity and form the legendary sect that has come to be known as the Bene Gesserit. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are the stuff of science fiction.
Anderson’s Great Schools of Dune trilogy
As a prequel to the original Dune film, it tells the story of how the Rossak sisterhood developed into the Bene Gesserit. The incident in which Valya Harkonnen uses her voice comes from a book called Mentats of Dune.

All three books intertwine the development of the Sisterhood, the Mentats, the Navigators, and the Suk Doctors. Honestly, the entire time I watched the series, I felt like it belonged on SyFy.
I’ve heard that you need to read the book to really understand the series
Maybe that’s why the story didn’t seem very rich or compelling to me (I got distracted by everything around me, and that’s what happens when I lose my attention). While you can tell the production was polished, it doesn’t feel like it belongs on MAX, especially compared to their other big hits.
Unfortunately, I think it falls into the category of more recent shows like Rings of Power (which I’d say is even better)
