The film was shown to nuns of Mother Cabrini’s order, some of whom were in their nineties
Plot
After witnessing disease and poverty in New York City’s slums, Italian immigrant Francesca Cabrini embarks on a daring journey to convince a hostile mayor to provide housing and healthcare to hundreds of orphaned children. At the end of the film, many of them were reported in tears, with several exclaiming, “THAT’S Cabrini!” Archbishop Corrigan was not the son of poor, working-class Irish immigrants from New York City.
Cabrini: We Can Serve Our Weakness or We Can Serve Our Purpose
Corrigan was born in New Jersey to Irish immigrant parents who owned a retail grocery and liquor business in Newark and were well-off. Not Both.

I was not familiar with the story of Mother Cabrini until I saw this in the theater last night
I really appreciated the story and merit of the production, as well as the solid acting from the cast. Angel Studios seems to be investing in worthy films that draw large crowds, avoiding being too moralistic or overly sentimental about faith.
Great movie, well worth the 25 hours I spent watching it
The theater was just a little full, but the front section applauded at the end and people stayed to the end, including me, as I also really enjoyed the end credits song. I watched this as part of my AMC A-List membership, but felt obligated to at least get one ticket on the pay it forward solicitation.
