Plot
Amidst the bitter discord of the twin cities of Piltover and Zaun, two sisters fight on opposing sides of a war between magical technologies and conflicting beliefs. Meet the cast of some of your favorite animated films and series, including Ella Purnell in “Arcane.” Fortiche Productions made a music video called “Get Jinxed” for Riot in 2013. Riot was so impressed with the work that they commissioned Fortiche to make an animated series, which took them several years to create.

After the release of the first season, Riot announced that there would be a second season and that it would take less time to produce. Arcane tells the story of two young orphaned sisters who grow up and find themselves in trouble in the city of Zaun and Piltover. The series is based on the video game League of Legends, and while it drops you right into this fictional world, time and care is taken to set up the premise and characters in a commendable way, without giving anything away. The solid character development and world-building mean that this is an entirely enjoyable watch without knowing anything about the game.
The animation is simply exquisite
As an anime fan, I found the animation in Arcane to be far beyond anything I’ve seen in an anime series before. There’s incredible attention to detail. It’s clear that no artistic talent or monetary expense was spared in bringing the world of Runeterra to life.
A great soundtrack, excellent acting, and a gripping story that doesn’t skimp on violence and more adult themes
