Plot
When the huge Lawson cattle station has no heir, rival factions in Australia see an opportunity to take control. The series was filmed in the Northern Territory and South Australia in remote locations that are barely inhabited – let alone on screen.

Locations include the UNESCO World Heritage site Kakadu National Park – with special permission from the traditional owners – and Tipperary Station, a real working cattle station so big it has its own airport and school. They are great actors.
Anna Torv is wonderful as the female antagonist
We loved Robert Taylor in Longmeier, he’s a great western old and crusty guy. We loved him on the Fringe but didn’t realize he was Australian because he dropped his accent.
Same with Michael Dorman who was in For All Mankind
It’s quite amazing how UK and Aus/NZ actors can drop their accents and sound so American. It’s nice to have shows set in nature instead of specific cities and constant violence.
