The locations look great, the action sequences have been thrilling so far, and the performances have been convincing
Eddie Redmayne as the Jackal definitely wasn’t on my streaming series bingo card this year, but there he is. It’s great to see a classic novel with such an elaborate production, and I think it all works really well. Like other reviewers, I don’t believe Lashan Lynch as the MI:6 agent and feel she was out of place in the role.
Otherwise, great old-school cape and dagger fun
On the other hand, it’s always nice to see Charles Day flex his acting muscles. Ursula Corberó is a joy to see on screen, although I fear she is somewhat underused.
