Kung fu prodigy Li Fong was uprooted from his home in Beijing and forced to move to New York City. When a friend needed help, Lee entered a karate competition. Lee’s teacher, Mr. Han, enlisted the help of original karateka Daniel LaRusso. On November 21, 2023, Sony released a video featuring Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan, in which they announced that they would both return for a new film, as well as a global search for actors to play the new “Karate Kid”.
